Wednesday Lenten Services 12:00pm in the Chapel. The Chapel gate will be open. Hamburger and Sausage Dinner The Men’s Club will be preparing a meal following service this Sunday March 20th. All Proceeds will go to benefit the 40th Annual Oktoberfest. First Communion Preparation Session 3 will be held following the luncheon in the Conference Room. Want to Sing? Joyful Noise invites you to try a new experience: a Festival Choir! Join us for Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday by singing in the choir. We will rehearse right after church on Sunday, March 27, April 3 and April 10th. Parents and Youth Faith Summit The Church Council will host an engaging event on Sunday, March 27, following worship for parents of children and youth of the congregation. Spring Cleaning? Are you thinking about spring cleaning, organizing and decluttering? If so please consider donating your unneeded household items and gently used clothing to the Mission Team. We will be collecting items at church during the month of April. Your donations will be used to stock a thrift store sponsored by the Burton Bridge Ministry (burtonbridgeministry.org). Organ Concert - This Saturday at 3:30pm. 2 Organs, 4 Hands, 4 Feet.
Annual Congregational Meeting will take place this Sunday, on January 23rd. Please plan to attend. The meeting will take place in the sanctuary after worship. There will not be a meal with this meeting as we normally do because of the increased numbers of infections caused by the omicron variant of COVID-19. Other fellowship opportunities are being planned for later in the winter and spring.
Theology Class is delayed one week until January 26th at 9:30am. If you are interested in joining, please contact the church office. Pastor Rhoades will be leading the class with the book To the Christian Nobility of the German Nation. The cost is $15 for the book.
Courageous Kindness class will begin January 23rd at 8:45am. Brandi and Corinne will lead this women's study Sunday mornings before worship. Kindness is like stones being tossed in a pond. Each one of us will make temporary ripples when we obey God's will to be kind. If you are interested in joining, please sign up in the church office. The cost is $12 for the book.
Ladies Game Day - Join the fun on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. All ladies are welcome, and you can bring a friend. If you need a ride, contact Kay Tucker.
Maasai Girls Need Tuition Support As we enter 2022, tuition is coming due for the girls we have been sponsoring in Tanzania. Pastor Paulo has asked if we can consider increasing our sponsorship to ten girls from six. Please consider if you can help in changing a girl and her family's life forever by helping provide tuition funds. From the generous giving made last year we have a head start with $1950, so we need to raise $4050.
Children's Faith Formation (CFF) will meet during worship starting on January 9th. Children (between Pre-K and 6th Grade) will go upstairs after the children's message and return during Holy Communion. Children must be signed in before worship begins (if you forget, you can step out of the service during the children's message to sign in). The sign in table can be found in the downstairs hallway.
